Every castle is built on an hilltop. Every castle has stunning beauty and the landscapes are fantastic. We go on a road trip discovering 4 different castles in 4 different towns with each one of them being completely different from the previous.
We go directly to Arraiolos to see the wonderful tapestry and one of the two round castles in the Iberian Peninsula
The Menage tour in Estremoz is one of 7 similar, but this one is entirely made of marble. Inside we are going to understand how the workers were paid telling the story of one of the markings carved on the wall.
Good local food, mainly Black Pork, but you can ask for something different.
Home of our kings Summer Palace, Vila Viçosa is well known by its marble quarries. In here we will visit a Castle with a draw bridge and a moat surrounding it.
Monsaraz will always be one of inalentejo.com favorite spots. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful towns in Portugal, but the surroundings with the Alqueva lake, the view to Spain and the Alentejo plains have no match. With luck, from its walls, we can see the sunset. In the end, fulfilled with beauty, castles and history, we head back to Évora.
